AirportVISIT

visiting family is always fun, especially when you live so far apart as we do.
so this month was such a memorable one for us.

my mom and stepdad came to visit from New England for a week and WHAT a fun exciting and heartwarming week it was. the departure is hard on the heart and soul.

they get longer and sadder and I wish I could go home and visit more often than I have had the chance to.

then a pleasent surprise mini visit happened this weekend, Davin's cousins from Oklahoma city had gone on a week long mission trip with the Youth ministry they belong to ...TO ALASKA , amazing journey for them.

they came through the Denver airport and were laid over for 4 hours so we all hopped in the truck and off to the airport we went to spend a little time with good folks we hadn't seen in a while. how fun and exciting to visit at a not common place
the kids love the airport and thought it was quite an adventure.

all and all a great month so far, next weekend is our 12th Anniversary ....YIKES!

can't wait to have a date withthe hubbyman

I want to go see teh New HARRY POTTER , But the rest of the date is all a secret :) can't wait to see what hubbyman has up his sleeve.

lil wonders all around , most of the time we are so busy we simply pass them by in a fast paced rush to go and take NOT so little wonders.

an old friend from high school and his wife recently had their 3rd baby, but its not that simple this new baby just as the 2nd baby have medical problems and both have had to have stomach surgery at birth , Lilly the new baby is still hospitalized at 3 weeks of age and is almost as big as a bag of sugar.


so in my sewing projects I desided to take a turn and make a gift for Lilly

and as I think of mark and his family I have been taking a bit more time to look at the little things a little closer.

where the time goes

Having adrenaline fatigue has been my enemy for so long I can not remember when I didn't have it or when I felt genuinely GREAT !

hard childhood (happy) but hard a lot of health issues in our house and death and over all not the most cheerful place health wise.

But some very treasured memories of wonderful people who will always live in my heart.

SO why the DARK beginning to this post today?? well I feel very fatigued these last 2 to 3 weeks and in between trying to feel good.... life must go on I'm afraid....

but as UN luck would have it we lost 2 relatives , never easy .

and again life MUST go on............


I have been passing the time trying hard to work on my horror show of a garden...poor dear garden....the family that lived here for 17 years fell apart about 3 years ago and so did the house and garden. so there is a lot of work and usually I jump into this kind of project head on. BUT with the draggy butt way I feel these days it been a LABOR ....a long painful one at that.

not just in my joints BUT the Rose bushes that never got pruned the ground that never got raked the grass that is dead or struggling to live. and it all pains me that its so much work.

well I finished the Roses and a splendid surprise happened there were other tiny rose plants hid away by tall grasses and over growth. and they look happy and willing to bloom if given the chance ....SO I will ....I will keep you posted of coarse ....


I looked at the calendar today and realized I have lost some time ....it has gone all too quickly ....Mothers day around the bend and that means my Niece Meagan is 20 years old ....geesh that alone gives me a lil shiver up my back....yes time goes on quickly it passes ....silently it disappears , it slips behind the doors and the dust mops the car washes and the bank statements, it melts into the pavements and hovers over us as we sleep.

and with those thoughts I have not only cut back the cleaning crazies but I also have started to make a little me time

I created a photo blog as well Because I realize I love doing photo projects and I love watching my kids grow. so I am hoping this could lead to a future hobby that I alos get paid for . OH I have my first client !! on the 20th :)

I was feeling sad and tired so I grabbed my camera and my Son and snapped some cute pictures of him in the vest and cowboy hat my husbands cousins wife had sewn .....
He has a perfecct name for any western DILLON JAMES !!!!









I post for this entry bits of what the last few weeks brought to my table .
as I ready myself for mothers day Weekend ...HAPPY MOMMIES DAY TO ALL!!!!!



And I will be spending mine being as mommy as I can be !!

well I found a minute or 2 ...actually it took all of maybe 20 minutes from start to finish give or take 10 for hair combing and a lil touch of lip gloss :)

I love the black and white one ...BUT I love all of them as well .....



evryone keeps hounding me to start my own biz , but for now I like the fact I am saving money NOT going to the dept stores for mediocre everyday looking shots.




the dress is so pretty, my mother (vovo)(grandmother in portuguese) sent it along with 4 others for as part of her gift! can NOT wait to see her in the others!!

we had a great time! such a great time I can not even walk :)
I was sad most of the Felines were eating their lunch so not too many kittys for us today BUT everyone else was hangin out having a heck of a spring weather day!!





BUT alas its over and I had to make a quick din din and as I type the sun is setting over the Rockies and my children who at this point should Be down for the count are riding their tractor as I ready them for bath and BED!!! OH the joys of BED!!!





I need to write some radio hoohaah so I must make this entry short.

InLOVE

A week ago...........BLIZZARD...today Beautiful and in the 80's so off to the Denver Zoo we go ! they have been such patient sweet children, Daddy has had our truck and being at home has been a GOOD thing but its time to stretch our legs and our minds a bit ! the zoo is a perfect place to do both! Its a Great ZOO! and lots of options
AFRICA, SEA CREATURES, SEALS, POLAR BEARS,

as I write this they are still snoozing away in their beds, we let them stay up a bit past bedtime to watch a scoby doo movie.

So I will finsh the blog and head into the kitchen and start packing our picnic
Izabel will be in Heaven ! she adores picnics, and at the zoo of all places is the Best place of all !!! she is studying baby animals in class so looking at "Habitats" seems to be a big deal these days... and even though she will be going on an end of the year trip to the zoo next week, I think Dillon will enjoy listening to his big sis explain all teh wonders at the zoo today !!

I am a tired gal !! I am happy to have some creative time...BUT there is
LAUNDRY TIME

DINNER TIME

YOGA TIME


and okay everything ELSE time while still cleaning,feeding, and PROTECTING my two ducklings

so I am BEAT,TIRED, DONE............ SO why did I start pillows?? because I am a crazy person!!! no I like to have lots of stuff going on

its like a DVR for crafts in a way .....I start and then I get back to it later

I did manage to finish Dillon's Room !!! I was collecting metal cars and trucks for his shelf and it is Done and Done!!! I think it looks great! so tahts one more major project done , hubby did an awesome job as usual on the paint.






BUT I am not DONE I still have so much to do...........I can not imagine what my house would look like if I HAD my TV SHOWS to watch...I have not watched a show thet does not have a opening from PBS in way tooooo long ....

I really honestly don't mind it though.
and since the snow is ALL yes I said ALL gone the ground is a bit mushy okay REALLY MUSHY the kids have to always be drawn to the XTRA mushy muddiest of mud areas ....Izzy is OK with taking the boots off at the slider...BUT Mr. Dillon is NOT an advocate of helping mommy NOT having to mop all the time.....

in fact I believe that boy was a gag gift from my Grandmother (VoVO) up in heaven getting back at me for all the awful nasty dirty things I must have done as a child I AM VERY CONVINCED of it.......


I have 3 orders for booties this week so off to the sewing room I try to go when Dillon is Napping and Izzy is at school BUT then I look at the carpet and I have to sweep and I should really get the kitchen counters clean .....SEE it never ends

so in conclusion its clean and crazy or dirty and crazy.......I will always take clean ..
